"Arizona Sunrays hosted the "Mini Olympics" for National Gymnastics Day! Participants gave a donation to Phoenix Children's Hospital at the door. The event began with a march-in and the participants rotating through the various events and obstacle courses. The ?Mini Olympics? concluded with all participants receiving a medal while standing on top of the podium! We were so pleased with the turn out to help celebrate National Gymnastics Day as well as with the generous donates made by the participants!"

Lincoln All American Gymnastics - Lincoln, Neb.
"We had an open gym and participated in a mall event with other gyms in the area. It was great to bring the gym to the public. We served Tyson Products, Chicken Nuggets. I thought it would be good to serve the nuggets since Tyson is the sponsor, and they are healthy."

Kauai Gymnastics Academy - Lihue, Hawaii
"We set a goal of having our teams do 2008 tricks during the week of National Gymnastics Day. We called it "2008 in 2008." We are a very small gym, so we only have 22 kids (we call them keikis) on our 3 teams. Given our small numbers, we allowed our 2 tumbling for cheerleading classes participate. After each workout, we filled up the thermometer. At the end we did MORE than 2008, so it overflowed! "

Funtastic Gymnastics - Manteca, Calif.
"Funtastic Gymnastics held a cartwheel-a-thon on National Gymnastics Day. We had popcorn, lemonade, and pizza samples from our pizza parlor next door. The children took part in the cartwheel-a-thon at the beginning of the two-hour event. Games, obstacle courses, and free play kept the children moving. For the parents we had a raffle of 21 donations! Thank you to all that helped with this event! This was our first year participating with the Children's Miracle Network and the Tyson Fitness Challenge. Next year, Funtastic has decided to incorporate the program into classes/day camps and host the cartwheel-a-thon for a full week during regularly scheduled class times. Thank you USA gymnastics - we had so much fun!! "

TNT Gymnastics & Fitness - Jacksonville, Fla.
"We held a cart-wheel-a-thon. Sharlie Harbie, our local CMN fundraising rep, spoke about how the money helps the children in local hospitals. Natalie Taunton raised the most of any of our rec children who joined the on-line team. Lauren Brumsey raised the most of the competitive team"

Garden State Gymnastics Training Center - Forked River, N.J.
"I wanted to thank USA Gymnastics for moving NGD to the month of September. It worked perfectly with us starting out the new year and introducing the sport to some new children (and potentially new gymnasts). Our activity was simply an open workout for our present students on that Saturday during which we invited each child to bring a friend. We have always done something like that in the spring to encourage new enrollment for the summer programs, but this time, inspired by your timely scheduling of NGD, we were motivated to do this on the 13th of September."
Marin Elite Gymnastics Academy - San Rafael, Calif.
"We celebrated Nat'l Gymnastics Day AND our 10th Anniviersary with a Cartwheel-a-thon, raising $2300 for Children's Miracle Network. We also had an Academy Mobility Day, and intro gym classes for new students. Everyone got hot dogs and hamburgers, too!!"

Olympic Dreams Gymnastics - Liberty, Ohio
"Olympic Dreams Gymnastics celebrated National Gymnastics Day by having a little fun fair. Our booster set up games like the balloon and dart game, get the ring around the bottle and who could forget the pie toss at the coaches. We set up obstacle course to test physical abilities. The kids didn't realize they were being tested it was all fun and games to them. We have 6 in ground trampolines so we taught trampoline safety and some basic trampoline skills to the participants. The money that was raised from the pie toss went to a hospital in Columbus where one of our gymnasts had surgery to repair her heart. We had a great day and a lot fun promoting gymnastics and all of it benefits. I thought having National Gymnastics Day in September was a great idea. Thank you USA Gymnastics for all of the info and services that you are offering to member clubs like Olympic Dreams Gymnastics."
Tumble Time Education Center - Boise, Idaho
"Tumble Time Education Center in Boise Idaho had an Open house. We did gymnastics, inflatable jumps, free hot dogs, door prizes and face painting. We also had other community businesses and service people at the event. A local radio station broadcasted all week about our event and we took donations which 100% went to Children's Miracle Network. We had a lot of people and a lot of fun. It was very successful."

California Gymnastics Centers
"Our event – identical across 6 CSC sites - started with a preschool open house with fitness and gymnastics circuits and concurrently a “learn to flip” workshop for our school age children. We followed that up with a team demo, and finally conducted our fitness challenge – students and team members had 2 minutes to complete as many cartwheels, sit-ups, leg lifts, etc. as possible. We used the NGD pledge sheets to collect donations from our fitness challenge."

All American Gymnastics - Jacksonville, Fla.
"Our gymnasts along with their coaches and parents were given a tour of Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital to learn and see upfront how the money they worked hard to raise for CMN this year is used. The tour was hosted by Nicole Lowe, Director of Children’s Miracle Network. The kids learned so much about the challenges of children less fortunate than them and the many blessings CMN proceeds provide to help make their visits and stays while at the hospital a little more comfortable."
