• Background check for Introductory Coaches – All new/lapsed/renewing Introductory coaches who are 18 years of age and older will need to complete a the USA Gymnastics Criminal Background Check. This policy went into effect August 1, 2009. Find out more.
• Background check renewals – Beginning December 2009 members’ criminal background checks begin to expire. Check your expiration date today and begin renewing your background check 4-6 weeks prior to expiration date to avoid a lapse in your membership!
• Membership expiration dates – pending memberships will expire one year from the date the membership was paid. Expiration dates will no longer be reset to the date the membership requirements were completed.
• New membership category – the new membership category of Junior Introductory Coach is for introductory coaches who are age 16-17. No criminal background check is required for this membership category.

• Participant Welfare Policy – USA Gymnastics has adopted a Participant Welfare Policy. Information will be communicated to all members and clubs. Read the policy here.
