Catch the NBC Sports broadcast of the 2009 World Gymnastics Championships

U.S. fans will have two more opportunities to enjoy the action from the finals of the 2009 World Gymnastics Championships in London on NBC Sports, where USA claimed a total of five medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze), as the network broadcasts the women’s all-around and an event finals highlight show this weekend.

On Saturday, Oct. 24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. ET, watch as Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind., and Rebecca Bross of Plano, Texas, dazzle on the world stage in the women’s all-around final and return the USA to the top of the podium. Then tune in on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 2-4 p.m. ET, to catch highlights from the two days of event finals, including the powerful gold-medal performance from newcomer Kayla Williams of Vitro, W. Va., the graceful lines of the bronze-medal beam routine of Ivana Hong of Allen, Texas, Bross’s bronze-medal feat on the uneven bars, as well as performances from Sloan, Steven Legendre of Flower Mound, Texas, Jonathan Horton of Houston, Danell Leyva of Miami, and Tim McNeill of Falls Church, Va.

Universal Sports will also provide encore coverage of the NBC shows, so that fans can relive the 2009 Gymnastics World Championships with recaps, photo galleries, on demand video and more at universalsports.com.

The World Championships began on Oct. 13 with the men’s preliminary round and concluded on Oct. 18 with the second day of individual event finals. The World Championships featured competition in the men’s and women’s all-around and individual events.
